Last updated: 02-03-08

The  first memory I have of wanting to learn to play music was in 1971 after I saw Gladys Knight & the Pips perform “Midnight Train to Georgia” on the  Sunday morning TV show , “Soul Train”.  I was 9 years old & immediately began taking saxophone, vocal & piano lessons. By 1973, I began taking drum lessons as well. By 1981, I began playing Bass & Guitar. The first gigs I did playing drums were in 1982, and my first bass gigs in 1987. I started writing and composing music in 1985.  My passion for mixing & producing began around 1985 as well. I’ve been a session musician since 1984.

The first band I ever played in was “The Dose”, (1983-86). I was  a drummer / vocalist. We played original “acid-rock”. Since then I’ve played & toured with countless bands, performing various genres of music.
I am currently playing bass & singing with “REMLEY” remleymusic.net, or “Remley” on myspace . We play original Americana rock. I still do sit in work playing bass & drums with various bands.

The first band I fronted was my all original hard-rock band, “The Grumps” (1993-95). I did extensive gigging / touring as a bassist / drummer in “The Unzie Band”,(1984-86), “The B&N Café, (1986-89), and “The Gary Hinge Band” (1990), and “The Jaguars (1991-93), and “Lost Perots” (1995-99). Other bands I’ve played with include, “Jimmi Accardi & the Wildcats”, (2000), “The Vincente Rule Orchestra” (2003),”Camellion”(2004),”Hummer” (1999), No Katz To Flat (1993), “Shwagnatta” (2005-06). The Shugar Shack  (1989), and “Soil & Green” (1989). I’ve toured the USA, Canada, and Europe.

I’ve taken Drum lessons from Ed Shaunnessey (of “Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” fame, and Ron Wilson (“The Surfari's “), and composer / performer of “Wipe Out”.  I’ve taken guitar and bass lessons from Buddy Craig , and every guitar player I’ve EVER seen, or heard. I have done countless recordings for hundreds of artists to include Jonathan Richman, (composer of “Roadrunner”).

I’ve done various audition recordings for everything from radio commercials to “American Idol”, as well as soundtrack work for Dark Moon Pictures on the 2007 release of the Bill Dear movie starring Crispin Glover, “Simon Says”.

After all these years, and all these shows , I still play and record mainly out of my love of music, and will continue to do so for as long as I can. I’ve been very lucky.

Joe Satriani knows who I am believe it or not!

My influences: The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Santana, Led Zeppelin, The Stones, The Police, The Ramones, Bob Dylan, Elvis, Joe Satriani, Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, Metallica, Neil Young, Gladys Knight & The Pips ( I still want to be a Pip), AC/DC, Stevie Ray Vaughn, George Martin, The Doors, Creedence, Sam Cooke, Buddy Holly, Waylon & Willie, Snoop Dogg, System Of A Down, Steely Dan, Nirvana, Pantera, James Brown & every other artist & band I’ve EVER seen.
