“Simon Say’s”

      In 2005, Blue Cactus  & Dark Moon Pictures filmed the Bill Dear (“Harry & The Hendersons” & “Angels In The Outfield”) story, “Simon Says” in Nevada City, Grass Valley and North San Juan. The film is a horror film starring Crispin Glover of “Back To The Future”, “Willard” & “Charlie’s Angels” fame. It also co-stars Greg Cipes & Margo Harshman. Vince’s wife Angela was hired as the “local” production assistant to do various things for Bill Dear & Ernie Lively while they were filming here. They needed someone that knew the area.

    To make a long story short, Vince got on the set with his wife, gave CD’s to Bill & Oliver Dear, Ernie Lively, Jason Black and everybody else he could get one to that mattered. Mr. Dear gave Vince a chance to audition some horror style music which Vince did. It was  a 14 song, symphonic, soundtrack type CD he sent to Hollywood soon after.

    Bill Dear and company decided to use one piece to run during the opening credits and opening sequence of the film. Vince signs contract and has shot at other various Dark Moon projects as well. We’ve been getting a lot of soundtrack work ever since. Life is good!
